Classification of Power Supply
0ne Power Supply and Power Converter (two confusing concepts)
The original definition of power supply: the device that converts other forms of energy into electricity is called power supply. According to this definition, the common power sources in daily life are as follows: wind power generation, converting wind power into electric energy; photovoltaic power generation, converting solar energy into electric energy; storage batteries, converting chemical energy into electric energy, etc.
Power Converter: Device that can control and convert the form of power energy. According to the type of conversion, it can be subdivided as follows:
1 Classification according to the form of transformation:AC-AC、AC-DC、DC-DC、DC-AC
2 Classification according to conversion methods: linear power supply, switching power supply
3 According to the effect of regulation and control, it can be classified as voltage stabilization, constant current, frequency modulation and phase modulation.
TWO If the power supply is differentiated according to the frequency of conversion, it can be divided into primary power supply, secondary power supply and chemical power supply, as follows:
1 Primary power supply: converting other energy into electricity, such as wind power, fire power, hydroelectric power station and so on, which is what we usually call city electricity or power grid.
2 Secondary power supply: In order to meet the different requirements of different electrical equipment on the form of power, the device that converts part of the main power into another form of power; or in the process of power transmission, between the power supply and the load, the power is transformed or stabilized.
AC-AC :Voltage regulator, UPS, AC power supply, variable frequency power supply.
DC-DC :Rectifier, DC power supply.
DC-AC :Inverter.
DC-DC : DC power supply.ONE
3 Chemical power supply: Usually, the energy is stored in some form, and when used, it will be transformed into electric power supply load, such as various batteries.
